Our Story
JEANNOT-BÉLANGE FOUNDATION, INC. was conceived over 30 years ago in loving memory of Escarné Jeannot, Oville and Sylvercia Jerôme Bélange. The foundation is the strong legacy of these devoted Christian and loving parents and grandparents who instilled in their children the love of God and a deep sense of service to God and others. Strong leaders in their community, they always dreamed of a day where children would enjoy the freedom of a great education; poverty, illness, and illiteracy will be eradicated to produce a country of opportunity for all. JeB values human life and believes in the equal right for quality education, decent healthcare, superior daily life and an excellent future. Through several programs, JeB wants to empower the southern regions of Haiti by working with schools, churches, healthcare providers, and community base organizations for the advancement of individual and collective autonomy. JeB provides these services in the communities through fundraising, corporate and individual donations. It also works with domestic and international organizations. The Foundation is dedicated to utilize unique ideas and tools to improve the quality of life of the marginalized, the destitute, and bring about spiritual and social changes in these communities. JeB sponsors children’s education, especially girls who are the least privileged in society. The Foundation creates programs for children, youths and adults in literacy, vocational, trading, technical training education, job training, skills training, community training, healthcare workshop, seminars and other related programs that will help the community as a whole.

JEANNOT BELANGE FOUNDATION, INC. encourages and supports everyone in the community to work towards a successful and productive future. JeB’s specific mission is to help fight illiteracy, domesticity of all children, especially girls, help improve family lives and break the cycle of poverty.
Mission Statement
JEANNOT BELANGE FOUNDATION, INC., was created to help those in rural communities where poverty generate hopelessness in children and families. Young Haitians, over the age of 20 make up over half of the country’s population and their social, economical and financial future is at stake. JeB has created means to benefit and help that endangered population grow in all areas of their lives. It is dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty by providing opportunities to learn job skills which can contribute to a sustainable community and a positive future.
